Interlibrary Loan

NNPL is once again accepting requests for Interlibrary Loans.

Please keep in mind that many libraries are not yet offering these services or are working with reduced staff.

Additionally, the postal service is experiencing shipping delays. Therefore, items may take longer than usual to arrive at our library and more requests than usual may come back as unfilled. Thank you for your understanding an patience.

Borrow material from other libraries! In order to request an item through Interlibrary Loan (ILL), you must have a valid Newport News library card in good standing.

  • Requests may take 2-6 weeks to process.
  • You may borrow and/or request up to 5 items through ILL at a time.
  • Overdue ILL items will be charged $0.50 per day late fine, with a two day grace period - maximum overdue fine per item is $15.00.
