Mission

To raise money and public awareness in the community to support the services and programs of the Newport News Public Library.

Foundation Information

The Newport News Public Library Foundation was established in 2007 to help support future library capital needs and programs. While the City of Newport News does provide funding for annual needs, additional funds are needed to provide the highest quality of services and programs. 

You can help ensure that the library is able to effectively plan for its future and provide valuable services and programs by donating to the Library Foundation. Your tax-deductible gift may be designated for a particular program, service, collection, or library of your choice. Donations are accepted in the form of cash, credit, planned giving, and stock.

The Foundation is a private non-profit corporation, 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
