About the Law Library Advisory Committee

The Law Library Advisory Committee is made up of three members who are attorneys at law. The Committee’s responsibility is to select the books and materials to be purchased by the Newport News Public Library for the Public Law Library. The members of the Committee must be residents of the City of Newport News and are appointed by City Council. Any Newport News attorney interested in serving on the Committee should fill out a Board Bank Application. Visit the City's Boards Commissions & Committees page to learn more about the appointments process. Terms served are for two years and Advisory Committee meetings are held on an as-needed basis.

To contact the Advisory Committee, call  (757) 926-1350 or email Anita Jennings.
